I always suspected that the alleged real world is nothing but a veil covering a much richer aspect of existence while at the same time giving us all the clues we need to make sense of it all. It was years later when I started to understand that our psyche constantly plays tricks on us pretending that we are something whole and that individuality is the core of our consciousness. Nothing could be further from the truth. I then gave up my professional career and further on concentrated on adopting and caring for street cats and dogs. This finally provided me with the freedom to focus on my inner existence, my consciousness and my real identity. I spent much time studying the main theories of philosophy, psychology, physics, religion and biology but mainly I studied my dreams. My artwork therefore combines all these aspects and tries to reflect the different facets of a reality which is constantly creating itself in my dreams as well as in my daily view of the world. I was born in southern Germany and spent most of my youth in episcopal boarding schools. Although I was always drawn to arts certain circumstances made me study Jurisprudence which I never really practiced. Instead I made a successful career in the computer industry which brought me to different major cities in Germany before I was leaving to China and finally Thailand. I now live in Bangkok and take care of over 30 adopted street animals. I love arts and I admire Salvatore Dali and many others, I feel very close to Arthur Schopenhauer and Erich Fromm and I still think that Goethe was one of the greatest poets that ever walked the earth. I guess I finally found my home. Read Less

Creating images for me is one of the best ways to escape from my chronic depression which plagues me since I can think of. I have never planned or structured a picture beforehand but let the picture develop itself, feed in its strength from my inner feelings and surprise me when I “wake up” and finally see it in its entirety. Every image reflects the hidden aspects of consciousness otherwise not accessible. You will easily see that I like the male and female struggle, that animals for me are as much a phenomenon of life as are humans, plants or any other living being. I have no commercial interest and only pursue the idea of exploring unseen realms. But of course I also enjoy when others like my images and in some cases might interrupt their daily duties and follow an unusual idea. Read Less
