I was introduced to design thinking at a very early age. Louis Finklestein..(my name)... was changed to Lou Fink. My very identity stems from this nickname, and it feels good to say the whole thing "LouFink", when people call me "Lou" it feels as though something is missing. "Mr. Finklestein," could be respect, unfamiliarity, or just formal detachment. "Fink," is for close friends... or assholes.

So, while I am aware of all these implications today, i'll never forget what my mind was like when my nickname was formed. I believe its important to be nostalgic, actively and passively. Conceptual should always be balanced with Professional, this is the current chapter of my life. Read Less
