When I was a kid living in Belgium for a few years, a beautifully designed can of peas on a supermarket shelf made me want to be a designer even though I didn’t know there was such a profession back then. I wanted to be the person who made things like cans of peas in a supermarket look so enticing.

When I went to Parsons I thought I wanted to be an illustrator, but quickly realized there were tons of people who could draw way better than me, so I went into communication design instead. That turned out to be a really good fit, since I like working on the big picture rather than just one little detail.

Over the years I kept making images using various techniques (photomontage and dimensional collage, for example) and using them in my design work whenever it fit. Now that everyone’s a designer (ha!) I’m spending time between offers for fabulous new projects by drawing, and animating too, using Adobe After Effects.

You can find me behind my computer, in the kitchen or in the garden.
