I am a graphic designer and painter (my special love is painting birds). I live in a beautiful part of Vermont on 70 acres of woodland and fields. We have hives for our own honey and see turkey, deer, ravens and all sorts of wild critters out my studio windows. When I most need inspiration or a moment to chill I have walking paths on the property to remind me of what is important and how small I really am in the bigger picture of life.

In my graphic arts life I and Rebecca Davison have a design and communications business (RavenMark) that serves environmental groups and organizations that do good for the world. When I paint birds I tend to get caught up in the detail. When I develop an organization's brand or marketing materials I need to step back and look at the bigger picture. This was a conflict I used to fight and tried to bridge. But lately I've learned to appreciate the dichotomy and find that these two parts of my art actually feed one another. Read Less
