Latoya C. Flowers graduated from the Illinois Institute of Art – Chicago with her BFA in Digital Film and Video Production. During Latoya’s undergraduate studies she interned at WFLD-WPWR Fox News Chicago as a Morning News Intern. After Latoya completed her undergraduate degree, she worked for the Beverly Price Company as a Production Assistant and Freelance Editor. In addition, Latoya has interned at Kartemquin Films a documentary production company in Chicago, where she assisted on the film A Good Man for American Masters and The Interrupters.

Latoya also produced and directed a documentary film called 33rd and Indiana. 33rd and Indiana is a documentary film based on the history, tragic fire and rebuild of Pilgrim Baptist Church. Pilgrim was the center of great migration, the birth place of gospel music and the height of the Civil Right Movement. 33rd and Indiana won “Best In Show” at the Illinois Institute of Art – Chicago FAME Show in 2008 and was a official selection for the Bronzeville and Indie Flicks Festival in 2009. Latoya is the founder of Imagine Me Films and is currently attending the School of Visual Arts in New York pursuing her MFA in Social Documentary Film. Read Less
