Marketing Communications Manager

The scope of this new position was to develop strategies for B2C & B2B marketing and creative initiatives to include branding, TV/radio, print advertising, direct mail and all communication materials for seven individual departments, overall web site design and all related seasonal web objectives. Also coordinating promotions, press releases, corporate partnerships and cause marketing programs with corporate, non-profits, municipal’s and broadcast companies to further develop the Swingle brand. I managed and maintained a $700,000 marketing budget. In my tenure the marketing budget increased 245% and corporate revenues increased $4,500,000.

Blufrog Studios also developed a publishing imprint label and character creation division. The company created character adventure driven franchise properties to help children understand the power of imagination. The Cartoon Network Studios in Los Angeles and New York considered several properties for future development. These character-registered properties remain active with the US Patent & Trademark Office in Washington, D.C., and all property's hold copyrights registered in the Library of Congress.

Graphity was a boutique advertising and design firm located in Denver's Cherry Creek retail district where I managed a staff of six talented creative and admin personnel. The Agency worked on corporate, professional services and retail accounts. Graphity was also involved with Denver's new agency for Economic Development and created a national marketing and print advertising campaign slated for the Wall Street Journal.

I was a staff designer on the account, my first position out of Art Center. On my very first design assignment, my designs beat out designs that were also created and submitted by Saul Bass, the legendary design shop in Los Angeles that created iconic corporate identities for some of the top fortune 100 companies.

Served on Judge's Panel Community College of Aurora Apprentice Project (Feb-May 2014)

Serving on the judge's panel for the 2012-2013 Community College of Aurora’s Apprentice Project, which provides an innovative way for students to learn critical core competencies in their selected courses. Teams of approximately ten students across four departments (Film; Art and Design; Business; and Computer Science/Information Technology [IT]) will collaborate on real-life case studies to launch a new business product over the course of the Spring 2013 semester—competing to win the title of 2013 Innovative Visionaries.

The Art Directors Club of Denver Board President (2004-2006)

While serving as Board President, we re-branded the club with an exciting new look that rolled-out in 2005. Thanks to a lot of wonderful and talented people on the board's committees, we had a great couple of years growing the club's membership and popular events; the Paper Fashion Show, the One Show, and the ADCD Annual Awards Show.
