This collection of abstract art photography started in 2010 as a playful experiment and has slowly evolved into a great passion. When the camera moves, the world becomes a large palette of infinite colors, lines, textures and geometry.

The goal of the collections from 2010-2014 is to reflect the microcosm and macrocosm. Their journey does this by mirroring and taking inspiration from two paths.

The first being that of the Monarch butterfly from cocooned (New Papillon Series 2010) migration (Migration Series 2011), mating (Union Series 2012), conception (Conception Series 2013) and offspring (Creation Series 2014).

The second mirrors the evolution of the universe from it’s seed state of repose to the early chaos and finally to the life forming creations. Both journeys declare the successful story of creation despite the intensity of the journey.

Most artistic decisions are implemented in selection and post-processing. I am striving for unique color schemes, textures, geometry, detail and fluidity of line and movement.

The final “Creation 2014 Series” leaves abstraction and enters the concrete world of creations. This series uses photos of earth, such as mountains, trees, soil and water and with a Rorschach like technique, replicates these images.

The artistic process seeks to accent the intricate symmetry and patterns in these elemental components to show earth’s fantasmic beauty without advanced tools like the microscope and telescope.

All the lines and geometric components in the creation series are original to the nature captured. The complex designs reveal the super symmetry, geometric patterns, life-like forms and archetypes that appear to be at the substratum of our natural world.
