This position reports to the Director of the T. Harry Williams Center for Oral History in the LSU Libraries. Responsibilities include digitization of the Center’s analog materials, management of the analog to digital conversion software and hardware; installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of hardware and software for audio conversion and editing; maintenance of all field recording hardware and software; web development and maintenance of the Williams Center’s webpages; supervision of student workers in the digitization studio; and user support for staff and patrons of all audio field recording equipment for the Center
50% Converts and optimizes analog audio materials to digital files for patron access and staff use and for preservation; engineers audio for Center’s public programming, exhibitions, publications; uploads digital files and associated metadata into the Louisiana Digital Library utilizing CONTENTdm software; maintains Williams Center database, keeps appropriate records and statistics associated with these tasks; Maintains hardware and software for digitization and field recording equipment; organizes and maintains other digital files, including scanned documents, photographs, video; processes digitization and duplication requests; provides technological service support for staff field interviews and Center public outreach
30% Develops and maintains webpages associated with the Williams Center and serves as a point of contact for the site; maintains Listening Station(s) featuring Williams Center content;
20% Assists other Libraries staff and faculty with website related design and programming,
Other related duties, as assigned.

Technology Peer Supervisor
Responsible for providing multimedia assistance on various projects concerning film and audio editing, graphic design, document formatting and web development on a consultation and walk-in basis for patrons.
Managed the daily operations of the OPS staff at the main circulation desk such as checking out items, attending research consultations, adding items to catalog, creating new patron accounts, managing existing patron records, and general software troubleshooting. Organized, labeled, and filtered data folders, updated real-time wait-lists, scheduled client consultations, and provided a pleasant customer service interaction whether on the phone or in person.
Devised and completed projects for library outreach via multiple software solutions including Sony Sound Forge Pro, Sony Vegas, Audacity, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Dreamweaver, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office.
Maintained working order of technology center equipment including DSLR cameras, audio recording equipment, video cameras, Wacom tablets, and tripods. Maintained audio recording room and associated equipment including mixer, desktop computer, speakers and studio microphone. Provided both staff and patrons with orientation on use and care of aforementioned technology items.
