Kwame is a Kenyan-American art director, animator and illustrator based in Nairobi, Kenya.

After going to art school in California, Kwame returned to Kenya where he has involved in various animation training and production initiatives such as and Disney's "Tinga Tinga Tales" TV series and UNESCO’s "Africa Animated!" project.

Kwame has also written and illustrated children’s books: "A Tasty Maandazi", "I Love Ugali and Sukuma Wiki" and most recently "The Yummiest Githeri". His books celebrate Kenyan culture and show a the uplifting and positive side of Africa that is not often shown.

Kwame created the short animated film "The Legend of Ngong Hills" which explores the possibilities of animating African folk tales and fantasy. His live-action work includes directing music video's like "Lovin’ This Home", art direction on the Netflix TV series "Sense8" and creative direction on various advertisement films.

Working in advertising at Ogilvy Africa, Kwame was part of the team that created the "The World's Most Eligible Bachelor" campaign which won several awards at the 2017 and 2018 Cannes Lions Festival.
