Proprietor/Artist/Ravendance Studio

Mountville, PA, USA
Recently, I have been going through some career changes and have been working in the studio. I have re discovered Acrylic paint. Preferring the expediency of the medium to the oils I used in college. I have also chosen to work with a subject matter nearer to my heart. I have always loved mythology and am currently studying the world of "Elementals" in the paranormal field. I prefer to work directly from my inner vision.
When doing portrait work, I need to rely on the photos of the subject to capture the "likeness" of the subject, but my figuratives in my acrylic painting, flow from my perception of the more ethereal plane of existence in our presence.

Proprietor

After years of contemplation and weary of pretentious expectations in the Fine Art world, I decided to put my pessimism aside and do what I love. It hasn't been an easy venture. I have been confronted with prejudice in the Art community. I have been participating in outdoor shows, which has left me with damaged canvases and depletion of funds at times. The important thing, has ben getting my Artwork out to the public to see.
I have shown my work at Ocean Galleries in downtown Stone Harbor and Avalon, NJ. I have exhibited in group shows at Garth Gallery in Columbia, PA. I have found a home with Seascape Designs in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina. My beach and aquatic displays fit in with the beautiful landscape there. There is much more to explore as I delve into the dreamscape world. Translating my visions of "outer-reality" with visual fluidity. I am transcending into a mysterious realm and hope to reveal deeper perspectives through my paintings.
