Responsible for creating and assisting with the design and layout of the
magazines. Participate in creative brainstorming meetings to identify
appropriate art approaches to complement editorial content. Assign art content, including commissioning original artwork, stock photo selection and photo shoots. Attend and participate in the art direction of photo shoots. Assist with additional design-related projects as needed, for both in-house marketing material and for clients &/or vendors. Assist with production-related tasks, including proofing, press-approvals, etc..

Check files and prepare them for the art director and printers. Manage/archive files, magazine issue back-ups. Check ads if it meets our magazine’s specs. Correspond with printers if something doesn’t seem right with the files. Design/assemble/layout in-house ads and sometimes client ads. Design/layout other magazine pages.
