This is a personal portfolio to document my advancement and work I have been doing without supervision or formal recognition.

Amateur Sociologist: After leaving PSU and my graduate studies in Ecology, I began to study history, philosophy, sociology, economics, ethics, law, and business. Since, 2002 I have attempted to unify my independent studies under the sociological discipline. That discipline having a more multi-disciplinary approach to knowledge and understanding of the human condition in the context of a material nature, than any other of the aforementioned disciplines.

Economic Sociology: Sub-discipline and my main area of study in sociology.
I have added physics, psychology (psychophysics and situational psychology), and political economy to my studies to expand the understanding and limitations of current economic thought. This impacts the theories of business cycles, equilibrium, economies of scale, and free markets and free trade. Economic and social behaviors have become blurred since the turn of the 21st century. This necessitates the need to understand how an "economic way of thinking" has impacted our society.

In addition to essays and notes within this portfolio on sociology, I write short science fiction stories as thought experiments in sociology and scientific prediction under Karl Popper's theories.

Hard Science Fiction, the "Old School" way: Man and his human nature faces his future survial in the last frontier. No Aliens or great Imperial fleet battles here, just humanity and the Void. Man that frail, flesh slug hurles himself into the void of space between the islands of barren rock that provide the least amount of shelter for a ceature born to a lush, hospitable planet, a paradise, compared to the frontier his is driven to.
