My name is Khristian Owens, age 24. I am currently a student at Empire State College taking online courses. At current, I live in New York State, and while I'm not a fan of the cold weather in January and February, I do find it has a good bit of spots for inspiration.

I have experience in Adobe Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, practice with Premiere Pro, and I took a course on video editing a couple years ago back at FMCC (Fulton Montgomery Community College) I've made a few interactive projects that I am having trouble uploading to the Behance site, but hoping to upload them in the near future. I've been told I have good timing with animating things in After Effects, and I'd like to work on improving my animation skills in Flash as well.

I'm also tooling around with ideas for stories or novels that I hope to put the words to paper rather soon, or word document in this case. I've also been considering an animated review show, where I would have an animated avatar of myself critiquing a variety of things.

When it comes to my projects, I've tended to take a liking in cartoonish designs and aspects. It may be to my own preference, but I feel as though I've seen more serious works in the last few years, and I would rather work on something more positive, and perhaps a bit silly. I wouldn't be afraid to be serious with it, but not agonizingly serious. I admit my own drawing ability is somewhat lacking, but I'm working on that.

When it comes to design, I find I prefer a simpler design to something, rather than something overly extravagant. This may be more personal preference, but some works to me seem to end up rather overcomplicated and messy, or over-designed and awkward. A simple work on the other hand would use fewer colors or additions to put together a well done piece, such as a company logo. I just find it more aesthetically pleasing, and something with too much elements to it noisy and unfocused. Read Less
