Kaitlin Hanger

Visual Alchemist and Content Marketing Adventurer

Richmond, VA, USA
I've been creating get-noticed communications for marketers for close to 25 years, and I help organizations refine their voices to reach and persuade targeted market of the value of their services. I've helped turn new and established businesses into success stories--helping professionals increase their business tenfold with direct authenticity and using established and yet-unheard-of approaches to make their visual and social messaging work

How we communicate refines our nature as life participants where we share and express our physical, social, spiritual, and emotional needs and coordinate social and cultural activity. It is the job of the content provider to adapt, respond, reflect, and accept responsibility regarding the infinite connections between symbol (whether word or image) and human reality and to understand and influence the patterns of thought that help people successfully negotiate their worlds.

To do this, I believe organizations must:

• Learn over and again how to think and to see anew, to analyze problems, create meaningful solutions, and work adaptively in creative communities.

• Learn the value of self-knowledge and intuition—where quantum leaps in understanding can be made.

• Learn to appreciate the many sub-cultures that ingest and produce the diverse messages we communicate.

• Learn to be flexible and innovative. We cannot be prepared for a future that, according to predictions, will move faster and more strangely as information technology progresses without our own center of equilibrium.

In absorbing a message, a dynamic cognitive process should take place for the both the speaker and audience—the mind making the leap from comprehending parts to realizing a whole. Understanding this gestalt in writing, marketing, and research is important. Marketing becomes about building a relationship that makes the customer feel valued. It is about enrichment—encountering new ideas.

I view the working moment where we create effective messaging as a space wherein answers reveal themselves. You must, in other words, approach your messaging mindfully. You can't always be in a hurry. Good messages take time to develop. Rediscovering “aha” moments in my work sometimes feels like nothing short of a repeated miracle. This is why I enjoy what I do.

My work is intended as a dialogue. My professional approach is pragmatic, interactive, and creative—helping clients practice the art of persuasion more effectively, while developing an appreciation for the dynamic creative impulse that all of us share to make meaning--producer and consumer alike. It is my wish to assist your organization in the process of finding its voice and a place for your business or product in the world through the messages we craft together, both verbal and visual.
