Karl Smith works globally at board level and with stakeholders/vendors and customers of multi-national enterprises. He is both a problem solver and a business builder able to roll his sleeves up to get the job done or mentor and lead staff. He builds sustainable real business capabilities that enable businesses to move beyond the next level, to bypass pointless pain and to achieve business targets and increase customer satisfaction.

He has taken the lead role on projects with central governments and commercial companies that deliver, new target operating models to establish digital transformational change.

He has experience across all verticals and technology stacks and has a focus on new strategies, concepts and capabilities that drive digital transformation in customer engagement, interaction/servicing and retention.

He is also the founder of The Human Centered Design Society which is focused on Professional Standards and is an Industry Member of The All-Party Parliamentary design & innovation group in Westminster. He is also a Founder of The Ubiquity Open Standard Project. He is a public speaker on subjects including Human Centered Design, Smart Technologies, Innovation, Smart Living, Internet of Things, Ubiquity.
