Josemar Gonzalez Lizarraga is an Artist and community organizer, with extensive experience in both the Tijuana, Mexico and San Diego, California communities. He currently works with various independent Artistic Organizations in both sides of the border to help educate and enrich using the arts as a means of communication. The majority of his work deals with documentation, story telling, and deconstruction of human experiences. Trained in the media arts (Photography, Video, Audio, Programming and Animation) he uses them as tools to engage audiences and help bring experiences and stories to a larger audience. He is currently a member of The AjA Project, a participatory arts organization that works with diverse immigrant and refugee communities using large-scale installation and photography to share their stories. Their work is currently on exhibit at the San Diego International Airport, and throughout the greater part of San Diego, exhibiting photography, and storytelling. His work has been shown in Mexico, the United States, Japan, and Germany.

He is a member of COYOTE an artist collaborative in Tijuana, and collaborator of the TJinCHINA project. In 2014 he founded a bi-national music and arts festival in Tijuana “Rumble Fest” that brings together artist communities from both sides of the Mexico, United States border.
