Dr. John Karwowski is a board-certified vascular surgeon with expertise in the full spectrum of vascular disease, specializing in minimally invasive interventions for vascular disease. With over 22 years of experience, Dr. John Karwowski currently practices in the Baltimore, Maryland area. His previous work saw him practicing in several institutions throughout the Miami, FL area. Some of these institutions include the University of Miami Hospital, the Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami Veterans Healthcare System and the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine as an attending surgeon and associate professor.

After earning his Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University in 1991, Dr. John Karwowski studied at Tufts University School of Medicine where he earned his Doctorate of Medicine in 1995. Dr. Karwowski would later study at Stanford Hospital in order to complete both his residency in general surgery and his fellowship training in vascular surgery.

Before practicing in the Miami area, Dr. Karwowski spent several years honing his surgical skills at a multitude of renowned institutions in New York City, including Weill Cornell Medical Center and New York Presbyterian Hospital, where he played a crucial role in the installation of the zeego surgical machine, ensuring that they could accommodate the needs of vascular surgeons.

Dr. John Karwowski also spent time as chief of vascular surgery at the Hostpital for Special Surgery, as well as the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he served as an assistant attending vascular surgeon. Read Less
