The Role

The responsibility of the Junior industrial/product designer/engineer will be to assist in the design, development and delivery of new products for Junco Films.

The ideal candidate will be reourceful, detail-obsessed, open to criticism, and an excellent problem solver. The role requires strong technical knowledge, mathematical precision and focus.

The candidate must have proven high-level design in 3D and Autodesk/Solidworks skills, and the enthusiasm to become vital within our small company. The self-motivation to research, the ability to work hard, learn, develop your skill sets are all essential to this position.

You will be able to collaborate on the development of new design concepts from inception through development, to the issue of engineering production.

Reporting to the main Producer, the designer will be responsible for tasks including conceptual thinking, 3D modelling, rendering, producing presentations and design development drawing.

Managing the project schedule and making sure all deliverables are made on-time.

The role is on a freelance basis and you will be under a contract which will specify your working conditions and remuneration.

The selected candidate must be a team player with sound judgment, discretion, tact, demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information, and the ability to work independently. A high level of professionalism, strong attention to detail are also required. Demonstrated abilities in confidentiality, initiative, judgment, discretion and managing multiple tasks are essential.

Candidates need passion, enthusiasm, creativity, and determination. You should be self-motivated and adaptable – and demonstrate strong people skills.

We are looking for applicants who have an interest in optics, lens, cameras and mechanics.

A degree in product design or equivalent
