The Hill seeks an experienced, creative, and versatile Graphic Designer to join our growing politics and policy media organization. This position works with the marketing and events departments on a wide range of projects that drive revenue and grow audience.
Collaborate with our SVP of Marketing and Marketing Director to produce graphics for the advertising and sales department.
Design sales marketing materials including PowerPoint presentations and collateral
Develop logos and comps for unique, sponsored programs that span multiple media platforms including web, video, social and print
Design print and digital ads, infographics and social media friendly graphics
Collaborate with our Events Director to produce graphics for sponsored events.
Design event collateral including: theme, backdrop, invitation, and signage
Contribute to ideation of new initiatives and revenue programs
Generally contribute to elevating the esthetic of all business-side communications
Maintain high level of industry knowledge by keeping up with new and updated computer graphics and design software
Maintain brand standards and integrity
Strong versatile, creative designer accustomed to working on multiple platforms
At least 5 years of experience
Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator & Acrobat)
Mastery of presentation building software including Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides, and Keynote
Knowledge of the principles of design, including: layout, typography, color, composition and current design trends
Understanding of digital and social media
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design
Demonstrate experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with ability to react quickly to changing circumstances
Demonstrate problem-solving, analytical, critical thinking and decision making skills
Motion Graphic skills with understanding of animation techniques are a plus
