Jess Nicholls is an award winning Production Designer/Art Director working in Copenhagen, hailing from Australia and the UK. She specialises in artistic supervision, environment design, styleframes and pitch development.
Currently, Jess is Art Director at Sun Creature Studios, on The Valiant Quest of Prince Ivandoe (a Cartoon Network Original animated series).
Previously, Jess art directed FLEE - an animated documentary feature, selected as part of Cannes Film Festival 2020. International premiere TBA.
Other clients include projects from Netflix/Blur, Disney/Passion Pictures, Cartoon Network and Lego.
Jess also co-developed and art-directed ‘Tsunami’. As part of the Cinéfondation Selection at Cannes Film Festival 2015, amongst others, 'Tsunami' is a graduation film about the 2011 disaster in Japan.
With both a creative and technical background, Jess's knowledge covers both 3D and 2D production pipelines. This knowledge gives her flexibility, ideal for bridging gaps between different film departments at all stages of production.
