Jessica Pidcock was born Jessica Draheim in 1990 in Alexandria, VA. Her family is originally from Omaha, NE but she grew up in Northern VA just 20 minutes from Washington DC. Her main passion in life was always art and she took advantage of any opportunity to feed that passion thru out high school. Once she graduated, she entered a two year program at the Delaware College of Art and Design, getting her AFA in 2010, and then transferred to the Savannah College of Art and Design where she will graduate with her BFA in 2013.

Jessica’s artistic style grew to be more and more abstract as her education continued and it is now her main focus. After dealing with significant personal issues followed by a period of personal growth, her spirituality began to develop and became an integral part of her work and process. Art is a way for her to explore herself in an abstract, intuitive, and thoughtful way.

Once she completes her education, she would like to take advantage of any opportunity she can find working with artists, museums, or galleries. She enjoyed working with children in a summer arts program that took place in a gallery facility and would like to work in a similar environment again someday. She would also love to continue being a commissioned artist. She has a wide variety of interests and wants to see what is out there. Being a military wife, she will move a lot during her life and looks forward to meeting new people, finding new opportunities, and learning about many different places and what they have to offer the art world.
