Jean Tessier works in the field of cinema (documentary and fiction) as director and producer and practices photography since more than 20 years.

In photography, he demonstrates, among others, a marked interest for the portrait, the documentary photography, the still life, and for a modern pictorialism where the image, influenced by the painting and the cinema, expresses itself mostly in its dynamic dimension.

Among his photographic subjects of preference, we find first of all the human being. People of all ages and social origins, photographied in a variety of situations and contexts. They are the object of documentary style’s photos, fruit of an attentive observation, of a complicity and opening. And also portraits, generally feminine, where are emphasized certain features of the subject, an attitude or an atmosphere. Besides, the singular combination of natural elements and/or the representation of objects of the everyday life which we rediscover thanks to the photography are also a part of its subjects. Read Less
