Hello! I'm a computer science student with a passion for art and design. I'm a maker and a hacker at heart, seeing every bit of new technology as an opportunity to flex my creative muscles. My work is sometimes used as advertising for events on my university campus, but often my work is simply for the amusement of others to experience and for myself to make!

My greatest interest in regards to creative design is the viewer's experience with art: how they feel about the work, why the work solicits those feelings, and what can the user do to interact with the work. I enjoy creating sculpture that encourages viewers to touch it, not just because normally touching artwork in a gallery is taboo and thus creating a fabulous juxtaposition or expectations and reality, but to let the viewer be a part of the work. If the viewer changes the piece even in the slightest, the work has improved! Why? Because now it's in a different state. The next viewer will see something that previously did not exist.

My passion for interaction translates well into my into my studies as a computer scientist. At least once a week a dabble in my human interface hobby; I try to create the most ridiculous methods of controlling the machine. Joysticks, Dance Dance Revolution mats, Wii Remotes, cell phones, garage door remotes-- anything is possible with the right amount of elbow grease and insanity. I'm currently working with the Hololens to create interactions with real-world objects, and would like to dive into room-scale VR once I get the space and pay scale. Read Less
