Jor-El started using his first camera at age 16 as a means of archiving his life. With a family history of Alzheimer's disease, he began capturing his journey through life knowing that one day the photos themselves may be his only anchor to the past. Since that time, he has been taking photos to not only capture memories, but also to inspire others and provide a reminder of everyday beauty.

His photography spans a wide range from travel/documentary to fine art. Whether capturing photos of a mountain summit in Front Range of Colorado, a Goan fisherman in India, or jellyfish on the coast of the Pacific Northwest, Jor-El shoots with an eye for balancing elegance and simplicity.

Jor-El is a freelance photographer who has worked with clients on a variety of projects ranging from websites to weddings. His photography has been featured on websites such as National Geographic and Outward Bound. When not taking on freelance clients, Jor-El is working as adjunct faculty in the Visual Arts Department of Naropa University teaching photography. Read Less
