Work Experience
Nestegg
Design Director
I was the first employee hired at NestEgg. I was responsible for designing the first iteration of the app for mobile and desktop. I oversaw the design output from a team of designers, developed the design system and handled the company branding and advertising needs. My goal was to execute on a high quality, end-to-end experience while delivering on an aggressive go-to-market timeframe.
In 2019, the app went live. I then focused on building a robust suite of rental finance management tools. This included a rent collection system, transaction ledgers, dashboards and a wallet experience. Collaboration with stakeholders, product managers and engineering was essential. I managed extensive user testing and research to help support each project's hypothesis. My team cultivated a ‘test and learn’ culture. We published in short intervals to gain immediate access to essential feedback. In turn, we iterated often to maximize optimization of the app.

I was part of a global design and product team. I was responsible for safeguarding the company’s most lucrative line of business, personal loans. My primary goal was to increase conversion throughout the personal loans application process. Optimizing all aspects of the flow was an essential aspect of the position.
During my tenure, I was responsible for seeing a 1.2% growth MoM for Personal Loans. I collaborated with Research, Product Management, Data Scientists and Engineering to iterate and drive the personal loans program forward.

I was responsible for executing on strategic design directions for the web product, six to twelve months ahead of production. I was on a leadership team responsible for hiring and cultivating a fully staffed design and research team. I worked closely with the VP of Product, Creative Director and Head of Research to provide consistent, high quality design output from all our internal design teams. An example was leading weekly formal design reviews for our stakeholders. I established a healthy, creative culture by running workshops, off-site gatherings. I was responsible for designing and managing the style guide, tool kit and our team's design principles.
