We are a boutique Design & Development Studio located in Chicago, IL with an additional outpost in Nashville, TN. Known for passionately crafting brand and interactive experiences. We work with clients both large and small alike to create bespoke, striking solutions that are as unique as they are.

At LaCroix Design Co., we believe that design is more than just how something looks. Although we have creative approaches to our work, we don’t consider ourselves “Creatives” or a “Creative Agency”. Provided that we have correct information, assets, content and time, it is very easy to make meaningful and thoughtful design. At the bottom line, we believe that the way it works -- the nuts and bolts -- what it communicates and how well an idea is presented is the underlying factor to innovation. Design is the just the process we use to solve problems in a creative way, and across a variety of mediums.

Just like design is more than just the appearance, development is more than just the plumbing. We carefully craft everything digitally -- which gives us an "inside out" approach as part of the design process. The pieces that no one sees should receive as much attention and articulation as the outer layers. The underlying system and flow of information should be efficient. We also develop custom administrative systems so that managing your site is simple, yet intuitive.

Since 2005, we have been a small studio -- and we enjoy being one. Eventually, there may be more on our team, but we currently bring a wonderful balance of skill sets together which combine to create some wonderful digital and printed projects. What we have always lacked in size we have made up for in passion and forward thinking.

We are evaluating and critiquing objects and digital experiences that we interact with on a regular basis. The web is an environment that we love to live in. Designing for the internet and applications has a fast feedback loop, and it is constantly rewarding. It is becoming evident that communicating with your audience online is more than simply putting something up. It is the quality of the experiences that are digitally created that matter, and to be able to create something digitally that engages humanity is a truly wonderful thing.

Although we pay attention to the analytics and studies to inform our decisions, we ultimately believe that our biggest strength is that we are a studio who loves to use the type of things that we create. Yet, we are constantly looking for ways to improve upon them so that we can create better products for our clients.

Our expertise lies in design and development. Thus, we are not experts in the products and services of our clients, but that doesn't mean we don't have a unique relationship with them. We work closely with our clients to learn about what they do so that we can create products that successfully engage and communicate with their audience effectively. Much like our studio is a balance of people with different skill sets, our partnership with our clients allows for us to apply our expertise to an unknown field -- and in return, are able to create something unique and rewarding for both ourselves and the client.

We look forward to the opportunity to work with you on your next project.
