At Keio university, Sayaka Iwashimizu studied Japanese cultural history of publishing and stage art to modern from the Edo period.

In 2002, she began working as an illustrator.

From around 2006, she began the production of painting, sculpture and installation.

Character with big eyes that appeared to most of my work is called "Anoko". "Anoko" means "that child" or "that girl" in Japanese.
Anoko does not have nationality, gender and age. It is free existence from all bondage.
