Ingrid Guyon

Fotosynthesis

London, United Kingdom

I am a creative dynamic documentary photographer and participatory photography practitioner passionate advocate of a better world through photography, promoting visual awareness, social justice, creativity and critical thinking.

For me, visual arts is essential to enable traditions and cultures to stay alive by connecting generations, creating memories, oral histories and archive of images.

Ingrid Guyon was raised in Arles, France and has lived and worked as a photographer and photography facilitator in London for eleven years. Her approach to the photographic medium and to the representations of cultures, news and her career has shifted after her studies in visual anthropology. She became interested in social justice and began to explore connections between participatory research and photographic self-representation, culture and urban landscape.
