Through design, I create the response to my clients’ communication needs. In the process of achieving this goal I am enriched not only professionally, but also personally, by interfacing with every client. I believe it is this dynamic, throughout the creative process that makes for truly effective design.

Graphic design continuously provides a fresh perspective and awareness of the world around me, which in turn inspires, excites and motivates me to create. I fell in love with graphic design seventeen years ago and have never looked back—it is my passion. Read Less

Between 2010–2012, I had the opportunity to work with Irene and our mutual friend Halyna Mudryj, a pysanka (Ukrainian Easter egg) artisan, to create a beautiful calendar for the benefit of the Berezhany lnternat School in Berezhany, Ukraine— a school serving orphaned children and children with special needs. The name of the calendar is “Wax, Egg, Fire – 2013. Pysanka Artistry of Halyna Mudryj”. Each month is a photograph of a unique egg design with a companion short story of the artist’s personal relationship with her art.

The calendar is an example of Irene’s innate artistic skills. Her infinite attention to detail was applied to every aspect of the project—the selection of the photographer and printer, the photos shots, the layout of the format, the quality of the paper. Her graphic design skills set the tone for the presentation of these incredible eggs, showcasing them in a most memorable way. Irene’s ability to collaborate with the team, understand the complexity ofthe different visual arts forms and pull everything together was no easy task. The eggs are the centerpiece of the calendar but it is Irene’s work that makes it sing.

On her part, this entire experience was a labor of love that required patience, understanding and diplomatic skills—all of which she has in spades. I look forward to our next collaborative effort.

…As founder and director of the new Turning Pages Family Literacy Program I turned to Irene in 2010, to design and maintain our website, www.familyreadingclub.org. Although web design was new to her, Irene persevered to create an informative and visually inviting site.

Currently, Irene is designing Turning Pages’ curriculum manual format. Thanks to her artist’s eye, graphic design expertise, and deep production knowledge, the plain word-processed manual is blossoming into a beautifully crafted, professional volume that is far more user-friendly both in-hand and on-line. It’s a joy to collaborate professionally with Irene, once again.

As demand for Irene’s time and talent grow, the fewer who know about her, the better for my Turning Pages projects!

Sincerely,

This is to recommend Irene Baranyk as a graphic designer without reservation.

I have been pleased not only with Irene’s excellent design skills, but also with her pleasant and supportive personality. Recently, Irene designed a business card for me, and, despite several changes of mind on my part, she never displayed an iota of impatience or annoyance. Instead, she was consistently encouraging and helpful until we arrived at a product that I thought was perfect.

I would not hesitate to employ Irene for future projects.

Sincerely,

Trish Byrnes
