Founder: World Wedding Dress Day (Dec 2)

WORLD WEDDING DRESS DAY IS A CELEBRATION!
A celebration of our empowerment as women to choose whom, how and when we marry.

And to choose a gorgeous dress that mostly we never get to wear again!

For so many of us it's the happiest day of our lives, one that we plan for and dream about.
And the dress, oh the dress, the symbol of that happy day.

But for 15 million girls every year, their wedding day happens during childhood and is a traumatic event that they're forced into.

So let's liberate those dresses and wear them out,
and at the same time highlight the plight of girls who don't get to make that choice.

Visit www.unfpa.org, www.tooyoungtowed.org and www.girlsnotbrides.org for more information.
