I have worked as an educator and photographer for over 20 years since leaving the Pharmaceutical sector in 1995. During that time my work has migrated from commercial photography to visual sociology. My commercial carer started with editorial portraits and I eventually specialised in food photography and documenting fine art.

In 2001 I became the lecturer of Digital end Evolving Technologies for the BA Photography and the Lecturer for Photography on the BA Fine Art (access) programs at the Institute of Art Design and Technology in Ireland. During this time my visual work increasingly became a form of social inquiry.

In 2008 I resigned from IADT to co-found www.exhibitastudios.ie, a fine art print studio, specialising in archival exhibition printing for photographic artists. During this time I acted as the Education Development Officer for PhotoIreland in 2011.

In 2012 I left Exhibit A to return to full-time education and took a Masters in Critical and Visual Studies at the Dublin Institute of Technology.

Currently I am lecturing in Critical thinking at the High College of Technology in the UAE while pursing Visual Sociology research. I am passionate about music and am currently the bassist for the local orchestra and am studying grades in Ukulele, Bass and Voice. Read Less
