Our clients comprised of mostly big financial corporates. Total, Old Mutual, Sea Harvest, Mutual and Federal, Standard Bank, Nedgroup Investments. I worked on airport branding campaigns, conceptualizing and executing entertainment events, book design, conceptual corporate gifting. I spent a lot of time defining corporate illustrative palette for the various brands. I also directed, inspired and helped the work of the junior designers grow as individuals allowing them space to be creative.

My time at Virgin Active South Africa was a for filing experience. Working at the heart of a renown brand, as a team player, developing visual communication strategies to thread together ATL/BTL campaigns. Working with a palette of mediums both digital and print was my everyday function. Directing small films and shoots to National television campaigns. Visiting clubs to see how we could better incorporate communication and branding. I spent a substantial amount of time developing illustrative styles for the brand, which can be pretty off the wall at most times.

Two Freelances get together both with design backgrounds, one turns to web development, and next thing you know we in the web design game, back in the days of flash and actionscript. My role was Designer/Creative Director, dealing with clients, doing the work and keeping the creative flowing. I worked closely with FED in supporting the UX,UI, illustration, design

Senior Designer/ Art Director / Illustrator

I moved upstairs to TBWA Tequilla. working as a senior designer working under the direction of the Creative director,. Our main client were radow, Nivea as aon Beiersdorf clients – Nivea and Labello. Most days were spent working on big retail SPARS' Tops Bottle Store. Conceptualizing, developing and executing all elements for SPAR year end conference. to (silly and effective shelf wobblers :)

Interactive presentations, film, and the list goes on.
I Acted as a key part, playing Art Director / SENIOR designer in the strategic design process of projects. Produced creative/interactive projects. I remain current on international design trends, including graphics, packaging, and user interaction.

I fine tuned and advanced my understanding of typography, layout, and visual design specifically geared at a retail BTL level, while considering factors such as aesthetic appeal, durability and cost effectiveness during the design process.

My work at TBWA Hunt Lascaris was a true introduction into the realm of the retail advertising environment. With Top-Shelf clients namely, The SPAR GROUP & Tops Bottle Other clients included Beiersdorf, Nivea and Radox. I learnt alot being a young senior designer and its where i started to learn the ropes of working in a huge international agency with teams of writers, strategists and other creative people. It really instilled a strong essence of "Disruption" in me. It was a great deal of in store retail campaign work. Instore competitions, the annual SPAR conference and all the BTL you could think possible in the food retail sector.

My first true agency experience was very interesting, allowing me play with photographic concepts and turn them into compelling & campaigns. I learnt a great deal using camera's, lighting, tent shooting jewelry and infinity curves. Working predominantly with baby orientated clients, Chicco, Baby City, Nuk etc. With the ability of the awesome photographic studio where I shot product and lifestyle which was used to create various campaigns and media for different channels, Print predominantly(being early 2000's. Some other clients included, Marcus Rohrer Spirulina, Hedgren, Toyzone, Jeep. This we my first real paying agency experience where I learnt a great number of skills.

2003 – Department of Technology 1st year Graphic Design
Awarded top student of the year out of 60 students and 3 Distinctions.

2004 – Department of Technology 2nd year Graphic Design,
Awarded 1 Distinction.

2005 – Department of Technology 3rd year Graphic Design
Awarded top student of the year and 2 Distinctions. Invited to join the B-tech degree.

2006 – Department of Technology 4th year Btech Graphic Design Degree - Cum Laude
