I'm a designer with seven years experience in interactive design and almost ten in the industry—I work on mobile & tablet apps, websites and other digital things. While my background is in visual design, I've recently been spending a lot of my time (and thoroughly enjoying) doing UX work: user stories, wireframes, sitemaps, and prototyping.

I love it when I can design something beautiful that also simplifies people's lives, whether that's helping them to mail a package, get them to their flight on time, or find a record store. Whatever it is, it's got to work for the user––great user experience has to go hand-in-hand with elegant aesthetics.

My work has been recognized by The CLIO Awards, The D&AD Annual, The London International Awards, The Hive Awards, Communication Arts, TIME Magazine, and The DC ADDYs. Read Less
I grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and got my BFA at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. After spending eight years in Washington, DC, I recently moved to Portland, OR in search of greener pastures.

I grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and got my BFA at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. After spending eight years in Washington, DC, I recently moved to Portland, OR in search of greener pastures.

When I'm not at work, I like going to concerts, eating Mexican food, gardening, working in one of the last record stores left standing, spinning records for people in bars and playing in an indie pop band. I also dabble in photography, life drawing, interior design, and screenprinting. Read Less
