Photographer Hayk Manvelyan was bornin 1978 in Yerevan.
In 2005 he graduated from the Art college named after P. Terlemezyan.
He has participated in several exhibitions of the Artist’s Union presenting his paintings and photographic works. He discovered his great passion for photography at the age of 21. Now Hayk actively workes in various photographic fields, particularly portrait, landscape, architecture, conceptual art in mood, nature of nights and etc…

Painting is a wonderful thing, but drawing paintings is very difficult, laborious, time consuming job, very difficult, and while I was practicing painting I thought, photography is a very easy task. And later, when I started in photography, I realized that this is more difficult, there are moments that can last for one instant that we need to see, feel, and to photograph it, to catch the unique moment. The artistic photography allows you to play with lights, feelings and with the thought.
During the process of photographing I feel myself cut from reality, sometimes I forget everything, even don’t think about composition or properly composed frame, I just take the pictures of what I feel and what I see trying to catch the unforgettable moment and thus expressing my own inner world. It is very important that the photographer could show the poser’s essence, character, in another word that the photo must express not only the image, but also the inner world of poser. In my opinion a photographer should be creative, a bit illusionist. Interestingly, when one looks at the picture and doesn’t understand how it was created and that is a mysterious in it. Read Less
