Born in 1989, Harsha Vardhan Durugadda is an award winning Indian artist who uses scale and sensation to address both social and personal issues through his works, represented through a combination of sculpture and performance art.
Durugadda uses new age technology and new media tools to create his flamboyant, shape-shifting works. he draws inspiration from works of G.I. Gurdjieff and Buddhist philosophies alike. His recent work the spinning-top series is a manifestation of his early childhood memories.
He is the recipetnet of a major covetd award in Western Australia for his work 'Column of Sound' in 2017 . 'Since graduating Durugadda has showcased his work in several solo and group exhibitions around Australia, India, London and the United States including Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi in 2016; Cultural Coalition, Hyde house, London in 2014, Emergent Art Space, Portland in 2015; and Queens Gallery, India in 2012.
