Creation of group, form business plan to attract funding for (240,000) from Sandwell Borough council for community centre. Old Albion Mill. Project abandoned in 1990 after owner ( tax exile) declined to continue with sale. Owner kept building in abandoned state for further 20 years and made 100,000 pounds profit on it's sale in the late 1990's. Yes, still angry about this 3 decades later. Forgiven but never forgotten.

Partner

Innovative project to improve environmental awareness withing the event industry and the wider public arena. Recycling waste and litter clearance from open air events. Festivals, public gatherings, cultural events. Recycled approx 5,000 tons of waste accounting for 10-40 percent of total from all events attended. WARP provided seasonal employment for 25 people and volunteer employment for groups of 5 to 75 people. WARP was instrumental in development of event recycling. It was the first business to specialize in this in the UK.
