Graphic Designer

I design web pages, posters, brochures, business cards, logos, and more. The company's work is about 80% creating websites. It's a small design firm that is growing fast, and I'm fortunate to have been hired during my last semester of school. Great people to work with, interesting clients, challenging projects... perfect!

Graphic Design Intern

Summer Design Internship to work on a special map icon project. Designed over 300 map icons, met regularly with interdisciplinary team for discussion and feedback, learned about Mathematica and how to use it, logged my work and communicate with other project team members on company project-tracking software, and also worked on a couple of smaller projects, such as word clouds for the Pygmalion Music Festival. Working at Wolfram was a very educational and fun experience for me.

Parkland Entrepreneurial Network (PEN)

Design Intern

Worked as a design intern (on the design team with two other designers) in a program that brings together students from the University of Illinois and Parkland from business, marketing, advertising, development, and design, to create capstone website projects. We designed a new website for Parkland and a cost calculator website for Willard Airport at the University of Illinois. Great experience for working with teams of people, communication, and presentations to clients. Designed and refined web mockups, wrote and implemented an online survey, and composed a Powerpoint presentation that was presented to clients at the end of the semester.
