The difference between good and great, that’s what, in my opinion, is the working area of a user experience or customer experience designer.

A good product is a product that adds some kind of value to the user’s everyday life, like making their life easier or letting them do exactly what they want.

Great products on the other hand, obviously do all the same things good products do, but in the mean time also delight their users. Users don’t have to think about how they have to do what they want to do and they feel like everything fits together perfectly. Actually they don’t notice it all fits, because it all seems natural.

That’s what I try to do; try to lift the products I work with from good to great. Starting from an information architecture that is understandable for everyone through iterating on flows, wireframes and designs to finally arrive at a finished product that does what the user wants exactly when and how they want it, while amazing them with good looking visuals at the same time.
