My work has always been about the people. My interests have always lied with the documentarist as I don’t like to produce a set of images that tell and show only the event in apparent form. The images focus on the people there, their faces, their expressions, their pain and laughter, all elements to allow insight into the situation and create a feeling of the atmosphere. I like to photograph events but what’s different to the photojournalist’s approach is that I do not show just the event, but the emotion surrounding the event. I show you the ‘how’ and not the ‘what.’ I try to give my photographs a deep, personal connection with the individuals within them, as I have a great talent in gaining stranger’s trust and confidence and therefore I try to allow my photographs to show an absence of my presence. This is also seen in my captions, as the majority of them consist of quotes from the subjects. I bring this talent to every genre of photography I photograph, including news, fashion editorial and landscape. Networking and collaborating with other visual makers is important to me, as it opens up new ideas and experiences, broadening both of your visions and creates original and distinctive work. I have done with my latest projects. I am hardworking and passionate about photography, publishing and multimedia as I focus myself to be multi-talented image-maker. I have a strong interest for stories that are considered to be not hard-hitting news, but I see them as important issues nonetheless. I tell stories of the average, unheard voices to raise awareness and help others through first hand experience of others. I have a strong interest in health and social issues and focus a lot towards charity work. My direction now lies in creating visual awareness for the public about social issues through photography and other mediums and I want to share my talents with a platform who shares these beliefs.

Rex Features

I spent 6 weeks working as an intern for Rex Features. During this time I helped the production team and stock team on the picture desk, registering images and colour correcting. I also worked with the keywording team, listing certain categories onto fresh images. I also spent some time working with the sales team, marking up magazines and newspaper images and constructing stacks of images that certain newspapers and magazines might fine interesting for publication. I really enjoyed my time at Rex Features and learnt a vast amount of how a picture agency and all of it's different departments run in today's fast and demanding industry.
