Catherine has worked in a variety of art-based positions over the past nine years.
She has taken a two-year break from her freelance art and illustration business, 'Gauché Illustration', to enjoy the privilege of taking care of her daughter, Eva. This rich experience has influenced a new gained enthusiasm to pursue projects aimed at the eyes of little ones. Catherine is interested in illustrating for children’s books, magazines and digital media platforms and is available to create commissioned artworks for children’s bedrooms and other fun spaces occupied the likes of such. She is also open to alternative commercial illustration projects.

Prior to going solo she worked as an illustrator at the groundbreaking illustration and animation studio, 'Am I Collective'. She is a resourceful and imaginative professional with further experience ranging from gallery administration to graphic design for advertising.

Catherine has been a stay-at-home mom, since her daughter’s birth in October 2012. During this time she has kept her pencils sharp by working on creative writing pieces for potential children’s books, painting watercolor portraits as well as watercolor and digital children’s illustration. She is now ready to resume Gauché Illustration, with a new focus on artwork for children’s bedrooms, children’s book illustration as well as for magazine and digital-based media.
