When you get the call to design a converted Anglican church located in the heart of London, you jump on a plane and first try to understand what kind of people would live here. For a couple with two pre-teens, this needed to be a friendly house as well as one mindful of the once-sacred ground. By encouraging the start of a modern art collection, we subdued the seriousness while establishing a color code for each room by way of solid rugs. Simple furnishings were then brought in so as not to compete with the incredibly detailed shell. And voila!
