mynano is a French company specializing in interactions between nanomaterials and biological systems. mynano’s mission is to assess the risks that products integrating manufactured nanomaterials might present for the environment and human health. mynano’s clients come from a wide range of industries including chemical, energy, building, transportation, food and cosmetics.

The following sentence came up during the first meeting with my client: What’s the point? Somehow this sentence became immediately the brief. Working with a point, a simple dot was the trigger.

I used the Scala Sans typeface and its italic font to bring some rhythm into the logo and to break the elementary shape of the dot. I have decided to create a link between the letter m of 'my' and the letter n of 'nano' to reinforce the sense of belonging there is in the company name.

The company’s implemented and printed materials use four different spot colours, each one related to a different specialism and branch of the company.

Playing with the logo was the same as playing with a dot, allowing me to project a promotional campaign to launch mynano’s conferences that cater for nanomaterials emergence in the global industry.
