Creating patterns through signs and scratches is something we take from nature. These are the final series of images that I had to shoot to close the chapter. Inspired in Mark Tobey’s work, particularly ‘White Journey’. It’s my own way of catching up with the images that are a constant in my mind and, through film, show my appreciation to the abstract expressionist movement. Once again, we mimic what we see. Sometimes we don’t even realize why.
Criar padrões através de sinais e riscos é algo que copiamos da natureza. Esta é a série de imagens que tinha de fotografar para encerrar este capítulo. Inspirado pelo trabalho de Mark Tobey, essencialmente pela sua pintura ‘White Journey’. É a minha maneira de apanhar as imagens que constantemente me acompanham e, através da película, mostrar o meu apreço pelo movimento abstraccionista e expressionista. Mais uma vez, nós imitamos o que vemos. E por vezes nem sabemos porquê.
