I live in the little stone house. Fifty yards up the hill is a small waterfall, bursting with ferns. It surprises me every day. As we turn the corner we find the Orto, our newly built terraced vegetable garden. It is heavily fenced with acacia to keep out wild boar that share the mountain. A few steps further is the olive grove. Well, this is Tuscany. Another stone house, this one abandoned. Overgrown, unkempt, brambles and wildflowers cover the ground.
