This project is based in David Hockney's work. He designs a space through an endless repetition of photos, which you can imagine the space and as a whole creates the space where the photographer is. These photocollages were called by Hockney as "The joiners", first using Polaroid prints and subsequently 35mm, commercially-processed color prints. Using Polaroid snaps or photolab-prints of a single subject, Hockney arranged a patchwork to make a composite image.
“I’m interested in all kinds of pictures, however they are made, with cameras, with paint brushes, with computers, with anything.”
- David Hockney
