  • World AIDS Day Dinner was in need of a fresh new look in 2012. The annual dinner that started modestly three years earlier had grown into a major event on Sydney’s LGBT calendar.

The event needed a logo that would be versatile and simple.
  • The Logo Framework

The classic shape of the AIDS ribbon was redrawn within a grid system to sit perfectly within the circle background. The lines were broken up like a stencil to allow easy, one-colour application.
  • More than the sum of its parts

Interpretations of the circles have varied from suggestions of the AIDS community coming together behind the AIDS ribbon, to simply a dinner plate. To me, the ring behind the ribbon symbolises trust, unification and the emotional integration that the World AIDS Dinner brings
