serial of drawings in mixed media based mostly on polyhedra deconstruction
Published:
Serial of my recent drawings on paper are based on deconstruction of renaissance polyhedra models created by 16 th century German goldsmith Wenzel Jamnitzer.  Conventional perspective of the geometrical solids is by my own subjective  decision initially deformed and manipulated  through graphical software and drawn by hand on paper.  Process of deconstruction that I applied on perfectly shaped polyhedrons can not be recognized as method but merely creative act. My intention is to blend symbolically and visually stilised objects with its organic  almost calligraphic antithesis characterized by the multiple perspective points and fragmented geometry evoking  the postmodern fusion of Eastern and Western philosophy.
Renaissance perspective is visual tool for creating illusions of space that has not changed until modern times. The concept within body of my work is exploring ways to manipulate conventional  perspective and turning it into philosophical rather then visual tool of illusion. By using digital technologies as adobe photoshop  Im trying to apply angle through which modern technology affects the way we experience the world and its elemental forces.
