Humboldt is known as the 'Family Friendly Winery' because of its location in the far north of California. This area is known as the undiscovered part of the state making it very serene and rural. The people who live here live in a tight knit community and welcome others to experience the peaceful atmosphere for themselves.

Deringer is a winery based around the whole idea of the Wild West. The California Gold Rush occured in this area and to this day, some areas are still known as ghost towns. The story behind the name, Deringer, is very important to the brand and involved a lot of research. It comes from Henry Deringer, who was the inventor of the pocket pistol, which was the type of gun used during the Gold Rush.
