Wilton Cake Decorating Final Assignments 2010

Wilton Cake Decorating Final Assignments 2010
These cakes were made in Wilton Cake Decorating Courses (I do not work for Wilton, the classes were very good), certificates were completed in class with equally enthusiastic and fabulous aspiring cake decorating ladies for course 1 (Intro) and 3 (Fondant and tiered cakes). The single tier white cake was the final exam for course one and the tiered cake the final exam for course three.  The arrangement of fondant flowers was based on professional floral design learnt while working part-time at Eve's Flower Shop in North York from 2001-2003 while in design university.

These pictures were taken in our family home. As with most canadians of several generations we have furniture dating back to my great-grand parents and things that were my grandparents mixed with new in our home so I feel the cakes were photographed in a typical south/central-Ontario Canadian home atmosphere.
Just for fun: A Tia Maria infused Birthday cake 2012 (Buttercream Icing was made using Tia Maria instead of water and instead of some of the milk in the recipe), Bee Cupcakes for a summer picnic 2009, and a Canada Day Strawberry Shortcake 2009 from before I took Cake Decorating.
