This goal of this project was to build an identity to go with a manifesto campaign. The deliverables included a poster series, a bumper sticker, buttons, and a pamphlet all with the goal of PR for this manifesto
I ended up writing my own manifesto about how people are to serious in this world nowadays, and that we all need to be a little goofy sometimes. This theme allowed for a lot of imagery to come to mind, but I decided I wanted the design to be trendy and of-the-moment.
The solution I came up with was a juxtaposition of serious imagery with humorous imagery. I used a comic book style with three “characters.” In addition mustaches have become a very trendy thing to have in accessories and popular culture, so I incorporated a mustache in clever ways. My favorite implementation of the mustache is on the back of the pamphlet. When a person is reading the pamphlet, the mustache is perfectly placed under their nose. The posters add an interactive element to the campaign by allowing viewers to put magnetic “fortunes” in the speech bubble of the characters with silly phrases like “You don’t need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.”
